Women In Ministry Winter Retreat
- January 29, 2023
Location: Ross Point Camp
Address: Post Falls, ID
Name: Melissa Mowry
The pastors’ wives and female pastors of the NW District are invited to attend a retreat designed just for you! Although these are two uniquely different groups, we also share a lot in common with the pressures of ministry as well as the joys of following God’s leading. We will have several worship times together and also a breakout session where we will gather separately. Let’s receive encouragement from God’s Word and enjoy fellowship with each other. The schedule is being planned with plenty of time to rest and relax by the fire with a good book, take a nap, play table games—whatever helps you unwind and get refreshed.
The retreat’s theme is FLOURISH. Psalm 92:13 says, “Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.” Pastors’ wives and female pastors have been planted in the house of the Lord by His hand. Here we grow and put down roots, and it is here that we pour our lives into others. This retreat creates space to allow God’s light and life-giving water to renew us and help us flourish where we are planted.
Our guest speaker and worship leader is Cherie Reiter, of Connection Church of the Nazarene in Colorado. Cherie understands what it is like to be a pastor’s wife and also a pastor! She has been in ministry for over 20 years and is an avid God-chaser, wife, mother, and singer/songwriter.
Optional craft time on Saturday afternoon will be led by Sonia Beattie, lead pastor's wife at Yakima Bethel Church of the Nazarene. Sonia has over 24,000 followers on her Facebook craft page, Sonia Kay Kreations! We are grateful for Sonia's leadership.
Registration opens December 1 and closes January 19. The cost of the retreat is being kept low at $75, thanks to a generous, anonymous donation to the Northwest District Pastor Support Project. This low price is being offered through January 12. After that date, the price will increase to the full retreat cost of $185.
If the retreat cost is a hardship for you, please contact the NW District Office at 509-466-0452.
