Organic Church Seminar PDF Print E-mail

Organic_Church_NetworkDarrell MacLearn from New Church Specialties will be on our district September 21-22 for a seminar entitled “Understanding the Organic Church.” This Tuesday evening and Wednesday conversation at Pinelow will allow you to explore what it means to create pockets of involvement in your community and how to connect them to the local church.  Much is being written and talked about regarding this movement that is growing outside the walls of the church and is distancing itself from local congregations.  Here is an opportunity to see how the church can be engaged in the community while helping the community stay connected to a local body.

Cost for the event is $55 which includes 3 meals, a bed and workshop material.  For more information, download the registration form and seminar agenda .  Deadline for registration is Friday, September 10.

Online Registration is now open for Northwest District's Annual Fall Pastoral Leadership Team Retreat in Leavenworth, Washington.  Pastors and spouses will gather for a time of fellowship and renewal in this charming, picturesque Bavarian village. This year our own district superintendent, Dr. Randy Craker, will open the Word for our service times together at Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene. Click here for additional retreat information.

  • $335 per couple
  • $130 per couple for event participation only (no hotel)
  • $168 per single (share hotel room)
  • $275 per single (private hotel room)
  • $65 per person for event participation only (no hotel)

After August 27, each registration option will go up by $15 ($350/couple with hotel, $145/couple no hotel, $183/per single (shared room), $290 per single (private room), and $80 per person for event participation).

 
 
New Church University Comes to Northwest District PDF Print E-mail

ncuNew Church Specialties will be offering New Church University training for pastors and church leaders October 28-30, 2010 at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene.  It will begin on Thursday evening at 6:30pm and will conclude on Saturday at 1:00pm.  This specialized training, which has now been attended by over 4000 pastors and church leaders around the world, focuses on providing tools to leaders to build an effective church action plan to move toward church health.  The training provides tools in several key areas to help churches move through the ReFocusing process of Assessment, Renewal, Planning and Implementation.  To read more about NCU you can go to http://www.newchurchspecialties.org/NCU_Master.

Tuition for this training is normally $250.00 per person, but because of the District Partnership, we are offering the training for those on the district for $70.00 per person which covers the training, notebooks, a book, Friday's lunch, and snacks throughout the event.  In order to get this special pricing, you must register through the district.  Complete the registration form and mail it to the district office with your check for $70 by October 8.
